The passing of time

It has been quite a while since I updated, so brace yourself for a number of posts. Let me start with family life....
We're half way through the school holidays. Hubby was also on holiday with us for the first week and consequently the alarm clock wasn't waking us up at 5:30am. BLISS. We are also developing the art of 'playing asleep'. We hear the pitter patter of little feet, feel the stare of little eyes ... and we keep snoring. Eventually the little feet pitter patter back to their bedrooms for some (mostly) quiet play.
One morning we were roused from our 'slumber' by calls of "Come and see what I've done" and this is what we found:
Five jesters balanced on an elephant and one VERY proud 5-year-old.
On the last day of term, Kindy had a 'sleepover' for the kids teddy bears. Patch the toy dog had a lot of fun. However, the toys got up to a bit of mischief during the night and made a huge mess of Kindy. Toys and food were strewn everywhere and we found Patch wearing lots of necklaces, having a picnic with another teddy.

Apparently before the children arrived at Kindy to find the mess, the gardener came past, saw the mess and thought Kindy had been broken into. He apparently cleaned up the mess and (I am assuming) reported a break-in. The teachers then had to reconstruct the mess from the teddy bear party before the children arrived.
The rainbow quilt has found a new home. I've decided that it should live on the bed of a rather delighted little girl. Now I need to make two more for the other munchkins.
